IHS 50th Class Reunion
It's been a long time since that memorable senior year
When we finally got out and rejoiced with cheer and beer Some of us hoped those school days would always last
While others couldn't wait for finals to be in the past Some of us moved far away and others stayed more near
Either way it's a good feeling to find our way back here Some of us have passed on and we pray to see them in heaven
We're sad about their loss and we miss them at this reunion Some of us haven't been back since we set out on our own
It's amazing what's happened and how the town has grown
What would we expect from such a wild and crazy lot? Some of us have none, some one, a few two or there
We're talking about grand children not marriages silly Some of us look the same, others we don't recognize at all
We remember each other before mother nature had a ball Some voted "most likely" but didn't turn out like it could
Most of us got good jobs but don't get paid what we should Some went on to school and others went to work or play
It's fun to see who's retired from what they did yesterday Some of us found ourselves and others found some success
We've all been on a journey in search of love and happiness Some of us had children that we love and care for dearly
We all have passions we love that fulfill our lives entirely Some of us will revisit the places where we went long ago
Others will look at pictures with friends we used to know All of us will reminisce the homes and family from our past
We will come to the realization the present too won't last All of us have dealt with life's tragic events and despair
Which accounts for all the wrinkles and missing hair All of us remember the young school days from our past
We now know what our parents meant by time goes by fast All of us here are happy and appreciate this reunion today

Many of you did not get to hear Audrey's prayer, so I have reprinted it here for your enjoyment.
We are here - Together - Grateful for the blessings of friendship, for the beautiful weather, for our beloved Ithaca. And, the opportunity to celebrate a milestone occasion this weekend. Still crazy after all these 50 years!
And, may we each travel safely home to enjoy many good memories (including those of classmates who are no longer with us) in good health, glad for the reconnection, and with enthusiasm for whatever life brings us. AMEN.
